General Background to Blaxland Blaxland Vineyards Limited was formed in 1995 to develop vineyards for listed wine companies that wanted larger well run vineyards that could supply consistent fruit for their wine production at a reasonable cost. The predecessor business ran vine nurseries selling in excess of 1,000,000 vines per year. Blaxland has developed a number of large scale vineyard projects and also pioneered the large scale development of almond groves. The prime objective of all our vineyard projects is to develop a quality asset with long term income potential in prime locations leading to capital gains over time. Grape contracts, an intergral part of all developments have been negotiaited with most of the larger wineries including Australian Vintage Limited, Orlando Wines Group, Yalumba Wines, Peter Lehmann Wines and other smaller emerging wine companies. Our vineyards are mostly managed by Advanced Viticulture & Management P/L (AVM). AVM is a company associated with the Directors of Blaxland and has extensive vineyard management contracts with third party vineyard owners.
