General Background to Blaxland

Blaxland Vineyards Limited was formed in 1995 to develop vineyards for listed wine companies that wanted larger well run vineyards that could supply consistent fruit for their wine production at reasonable cost.

Blaxland has developed a number of large scale vineyard projects and also pioneered the large scale development of almond groves utilised the Managed Investments section of the Corporations Act to develop Prospectuses/Product Disclosure Statements for new vineyard projects in New South Wales and South Australia. These fund raisings have been done with the appropriate Product Ruling put out by the Taxation Office.

Whilst there are always taxation benefits attached to Primary Production Projects, T the prime objective of all our vineyard projects is to develop a quality asset with long term income potential in prime locations leading to capital gains over time. Grape contracts, an integral part of all developments have been negotiated with most of the larger wineries including Australian Vintage Limited McGuigan Simeon Wines, Orlando W ines yndham Group, Beringer Blass Wines (Fosters) Yalumba Wines, Peter Lehmann Wines, Nepenthe Wines and other smaller emerging wine companies s.

Our vineyards are mostly managed by McGuigan Simeon Wines in Cowra and the Limestone Coast or by Advanced Viticulture & Management P/L (AVM) in the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa. AVM is a company associated with the Directors of Blaxland and has extensive vineyard management co n tracts with third party vineyard owners.
